New firmware for Sony A7R V, A7C R, A7C II & ZV-E1 fixes bugs

Sony is now taking the opportunity to spring clean the firmware of some of its cameras – fixing several bugs in the models Sony A7R V, A7C R, A7C II, and ZV-E1. The issues seem to be largely video-related.

In addition to overall improved stability, a problem has been addressed that required the camera to be restarted if too many faces were detected during filming. Another issue was that the video timecode was not maintained correctly when the camera was restarted, and stability has been improved when using the extended ISO scale during filming.

Furthermore, the ability to adjust certain custom settings has created problems, causing the camera to restart unexpectedly.

High resolution and extremely good detail reproduction along with excellent autofocus and several other updates from its predecessor, make the A7R V a winning camera.
